PRODUCTIVITY APPS FOR TEACHERS
GOOGLE DRIVE
I think Google Drive is best used on a computer, but the word processing feature on the iPad has improved greatly in the past year. If you aren't using Google apps in your classroom, you should be. This is the first step to truly integrating technology in your classroom. Students can type up assignments, peer edit online, and share assignments with teachers and classmates. |
EDUCREATIONS
Educreations allows teachers and students to record lessons on screen. For teachers, you can create a lesson for students, so even if you are not sitting with them, they can participate in a lesson, as if you are working together. This app is also useful for having students record their own work for you to view later. For example, you can have students record their math work and see exactly how a student is getting to a certain answer. Check out the website for other awesome ideas. |
DROPBOX
Automatically sync and view documents from your computer on your iPad. This requires an account and computer set up, but is a great resource so you don't have to jump between devices to open a document. DropBox runs off the cloud, so you can access your documents anywhere there is a wifi connection. |
